10 Bloggers EVERY Internet Marketer Should Follow

by Nivin

Remember when you’re a kid and your parent’s always told you to hang with the right crowd?

Well, the same applies to your online business. You need to learn how to tell the difference between the phonies and the real masters.

So, as a public service, here are the 10 Top bloggers EVERY Internet Marketer should follow.

These bloggers are the REAL deal and they embody what they preach. Each of them is accomplished in their own right and consistently pushes the boundaries on quality offerrings. I have yet to read a single post from them, that didn’t enlighten me just that little bit more.

This is my way of saying THANK YOU  to these amazing people for consistently setting the example of how the real Pros do it.

Brian Clark
Brian is the kid at the back of the class, who’s so damn smart, he doesn’t have to bother with studying. He makes creating powerful content look like child’s play and constantly sets the benchmark for content creation and copywriting. His blog, Copyblogger, is a reservoir of copywriting and content creation gems. His post on the 10 Sure-Fire Headline Formulas That Work helped me boost my conversions with a simple tweak. Copyblogger is definitely my go-to site with anything related to copy, content creation ideas and landing pages.

Pat Flynn
Pat is the nice guy you want your sister to bring home to meet the parents. If you’ve signed up for his newsletters or follow him on Facebook, you know how much effort he spends interacting with his subscribers. He created Smart Passive Income to demystify the whole Internet Marketing game by being the guinea pig himself and it’s been a tremendous success. Not only does he share his monthly earnings on his blog, he shows you exactly how he did it – there’s no holding back with Pat. If you’re looking for case-study type examples on how to start making money online, you definitely want to bookmark Smart Passive Income. Check out   his monthly reports here.

Michael Stelzner
Michael is the bees knees of social media marketing. Since starting in 2009, he’s grown his audience to over 80,000 subscribers dishing out the very best social media marketing advice without the usual lame marketing ploys. His webinar How to Rapidly Grow Your Business With Content Marketing is must-see regardless of whether you’re planning to use social media or not. It will give you the foundation (and mindset) on how you can create amazing content to grow your business and serve your customers.  And if you’re planning on using social media, bookmark Social Media Examiner for the latest tools and tips around. I frequently check the How-to section for cool tricks to boost my own social media strategy.

Darren Rowse
Darren is the godfather of blogging. In my opinion no one does it better or more elegantly than Darren. He’s got this knack of sharing content with great step-by-step frameworks that makes it incredibly easy to implement his teachings into your own business. 31 Days to Build a Better Blog is a classic example of excellent content wrapped with an easy-to-implement framework – one step a day for 31 days-too simple. This e-book is a must read especially if you’re using blogging as a medium to connect with your audience.

David Risley
Ever had friend who was so blunt you couldn’t help but listen to? In the online arena, David is that friend. His straight to the point, no BS, no fluff approach is refreshing especially in Internet Marketing. His blog davidrisley.com is the place on how to turn your blog into a real business. And unlike some other bogus “gurus”, David’s been doing this for 13 years and makes over $200,000/year. If you want to master something, learn from the best… and David is definitely one of the best.

Heather Stephens
Heather or also known as Super-Mom (its what we call her), is one of the most inspiring bloggers you could follow. She’s created Clever Marketer, an incredible online resource designed to help you market your home-based business with a family by your side. She’s constantly coming up incredible marketing tips but what really sets her apart are her strategies on time and resource management. And playing as many roles as she does (mommy, wife, mentor, coach and entrepreneur to name a few) you better believe she knows how to maximize her resources.

Corbett Barr
Corbett is a traffic genius but not in the way you would think. There are many sites which provide loads of “generic” traffic strategies but Think Traffic on the other hand approaches traffic in a whole different way. Instead of just focusing on traffic-building advice, Corbett shows you how to build an actively engaged audience. Not sure if focusing on building an engaged audience is worth it? Well, Think Traffic attracted over 138,000 visits and 5,000 subscribers in its first year. I could sure use the subscribers… couldn’t you? And if you have your own blog, you MUST read 21 Quick Actions You Can Do Today to Set Your Blog Up for Massive Success. It’s absolutely transformational.

Scott Stratten
Scott has been gifted with an unconventional marketing mind. Instead of mimicking the same cookie cutter techniques by the so-called experts, Scott has led the charge of marketing with the focus on the customer. His blog Unmarketing teaches you how to position yourself as a trusted expert in your niche, so when the need arises, your customers choose you. The main theme of Unmarketing has always been to connect with your clients effectively and consistentl. And unlike a lot of other social media experts, Scott is still one of the few experts who actually responds to his twitter replies, which I found very refreshing. You can connect with him on Twitter here.

Chris Ducker
I’m sure like most of us, you got into business to experience the freedom your job could never offer. This is why you need to read Chris’s work. His blog, Virtual Busines Lifestyle is the place to go to learn what you need to do to LIVE your desired lifestyle. You will learn how to focus on the CRITICAL functions of your business, and learn to delegate and outsource the rest with relentless efficiency.  His FREE E-Book Saving the Day, The Virtual Way is a must read if you’ve ever considered outsourcing your business.

Cody McKibben
No Expert list will be complete without at least one TOTAL BADASS and Cody is that Badass. Thrilling Heroics is the testimonial that if you really want to do something…. just go out and DO IT! Stop making excuses, get off your butt and DO IT! Although it has some very useful stuff for newbies, Thrilling Heroics is more of an inspirational read for me. Nothing like seeing someone grabbing the world by the horns, to get you off your butt and start doing something. If you have a passion you want to share with the world, you need to read 7 Steps To Turning Passions into Profit. It’s the ultimate play for realizing your dreams through your passion.
